Privacy policy

How Omnillew collects, uses and protects personal data under the UK General Data Protection Regulation and the Data Protection Act 2018.

Who we are

Omnillew is an independent editorial review desk publishing comparison and review writing on UK Gambling Commission licensed gambling operators. Our editorial office is located in Edinburgh, United Kingdom. The data controller for this website is Omnillew Editorial. You can contact us at [email protected].

What data we collect

We collect only what we need to run the site responsibly:

We do not operate user accounts, do not host gambling activity, do not process payments, and do not collect financial data of any kind on this site.

Lawful basis for processing

Under Article 6 of the UK GDPR, we rely on the following lawful bases:

How long we keep data

Server logs are retained for up to 30 days for security and diagnostic purposes, then deleted. If you accept optional analytics, aggregated and pseudonymised analytics data is retained for up to 26 months. Email correspondence is retained for up to 24 months after the matter is closed. Local browser storage (cookie preferences, age-confirmation flag) persists until you clear your browser data or our cookie policy provides for its expiry.

Who we share data with

We do not sell personal data and we do not share it with third parties for marketing purposes. If you accept optional analytics, anonymised usage data may be processed by our analytics provider under a data processing agreement compliant with UK GDPR Article 28. We may disclose data where required by law, or to protect the rights, property or safety of Omnillew, our readers, or others.

Outbound links from this site take you to third-party operator websites. Those operators are independent data controllers under their own privacy notices; Omnillew is not responsible for their data practices once you click through.

International transfers

Where any processor we use stores data outside the United Kingdom, we ensure an appropriate UK GDPR safeguard is in place, either an adequacy decision under section 17A of the Data Protection Act 2018 or a UK International Data Transfer Agreement.

Your rights

Under the UK GDPR you have the right to: access the personal data we hold about you; have inaccurate data corrected; have data erased in defined circumstances; restrict or object to processing; receive your data in a portable format; and withdraw consent at any time where consent is the lawful basis. To exercise any of these rights, email [email protected].

You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO), the UK's data protection authority. The ICO can be contacted at ico.org.uk.

Security

This site is served over HTTPS. We follow recognised information-security practices appropriate to the scale of the site and the limited personal data we process.

Children

This site is intended for adults aged 18 or over resident in the United Kingdom. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18. If you believe an under-18 has used the site, please contact us.

Changes to this notice

We review this notice at least annually and update it where our practices or applicable law change. The current version was last reviewed in June 2026.
